コロナで自粛生活が続いていてどこかに行きたい気分なので、去年旦那さんのふるさとフランスへ行った時のことを書いて気を紛らわせようという作戦です。早く、恐れることなく行きたいところに行けるようになってほしいですね！
I’ve been refraining from going outside for a while, and I feel like going somewhere, so it’s my strategy to distract my mind by writing about our trip last year to my husband’s hometown in France. I hope that we’ll be able to go anywhere we want without fear.
【1日目】
【Day 1】
そう、ここはパリ。早速だけど、初日から予定が狂いました。早朝に着いて午前中に今回の1番の目的である所用を済ませ、電車で4時間の彼の実家へと行く予定が、問題が起きパリに1泊せざるを得ないことに…。
Yes, this is Paris. Immediately, our schedule was messed up from the first day. We arrived in Paris early in the morning, and we were planning to run an errand which was our purpose to visit France, and then heading to his hometown 4 hours away from Paris. But we ended to stay overnight in Paris that day because of some trouble.

早くも【2日目】
Already【Day2】
朝食に。ホテル近くのパン屋さんから調達した、パン・オ・ショコラ！
サクサクでチョコもたくさん入ってて、1個0.85€くらい。ザ・フランスの朝食。
For breakfast. Pain au chocolat from the bakery near our hotel!
Crispy and good amount of chocolate in it, and it cost 0.85€ each.
A classic French breakfast.
ホテルを出て電車の出発時刻までパリをプチ観光。というか駅までの道のり。
Little sightseeing until the departure time of the train. In other word, the way to the station.
素敵すぎ。
It’s so beautiful.
公園の入り口。これが！？宮殿の入り口じゃん！
Park entrance. Is it!? It’s an entrance of palace!
パリだ！
Paris!
工事中の建物。気づきました？道路側の壁1面は、絵！お見事。
A building under construction. Did you notice? The wall along the street is a painting! Well done.
そんなこんなで見るもの1つ1つに目を丸くしながら、駅に到着?
With this thing and that, with my eyes widening to each things, we arrived at the station?
スリにあうんじゃないかと気が気じゃなかったけど、何も起こらず一安心☺
I was afraid of getting pickpockted, but it did’t happen. I got relieved☺
地下鉄と電車を乗り継ぎ、彼の実家到着！
この時まだ結婚してなかったし、ご両親に会うのは初めてで、フランス語も分からないしで緊張だったけど、会った瞬間お母さんが両頬にビズしてくれて安心?
We arrived at his parents’ home via metro and train!
I was nervous because we were not married yet at that time, and it was the first time to see his parents, and I didn’t understand French, but I got relieved after his mom kissed on my cheeks when we saw her ?
前日に一緒に食べるように用意してくれていた前菜が悪くなってしまうということで、夕飯前にパンと頂くことに。うまーい！！ベルジアンエンダイブという見知らぬ野菜の上にサーモンとりんごとランプフィッシュの卵（これまた初めて）とチーズが乗っていて、本当に美味しかった！！そしてさすがフランス。やっぱりパンは直置きでした。
Since the appetizer she prepared for us the day before would be bad, we had them with a baguette before dinner. That was really good!! Salmon, apple, lumpfish roe and cheese on top of a Belgian endive leaf.
And of course the bread was directly on the table.

ディナーは近くのじゃがいもレストランに連れて行ってもらいました。
デカッ！！
For dinner, we went to Potato restaurant in the neighborhood.
Huge!!
大きさ伝わるかなー これ、お皿もでかいしじゃがいもも日本の3倍くらいの大きさなんです！
I wonder if you can catch how big it is. The plate is huge and the potato is three times as big as in Japan!
他の人のもパシャリ。
Someone else’s meal.
すごいのはみんなの食欲！親戚も含めて9人くらいで行ったんだけど、ほとんどみんな食べきっていた（笑）私も結構食べる方なんだけど、じゃがいも1個すら完食できませんでした！フランスの方々はよく食べるそうです。
What amazed me is everyone’s appetite! We were 9 including his relatives, and almost everyone finished their plates! I’m a good eater too, but I couldn’t finish even one potato. I heard that French people like food and eat a lot.
シンプルで、味は最高。じゃがいもはホクホクだし、なんといってもハムが美味しい。もう一度。フランスはハムが美味しい。
Simple, and the taste was so good. Potatoes are soft, and the best thing of all is Hams. They were fantastic. Again, French ham is fantastic.
こんなに食べたにも関わらず、ちゃんとみんなデザート頼んでおりました。
フランスは、デザートの国ですもんね?
Even though we ate a lot, everyone ordered dessert.
